Leisure – Environment: the attitudes experience on Adventure Sports
Abstract
This article deals with the many different interfaces subdued from leisure practice relation – under the form of adventure sports – and the contemporary environmental context, with the identification of attitudes, motivations and behaviors that
have permeated experiences from adventure sports practitioners. The present research had a qualitative base, and the methodology combines bibliographical and field research. Semi-structured interviews were done at Brotas city, São Paulo State – with 19 adventure sports practitioners. Results showed that attitudes are still based on naïve and
misunderstanding thoughts about aspects related to leisure experience in natural areas; it is still possible to verify compensatory attitudes, and lack of understanding of amplified possibilities of new values experience.
